BURGER KING LOOKS DELICIOUS AGAIN. HERE’S WHY?

Burger King introduced its first rebrand in 20 years in January 2021 with a new Burger King logo.

The new logo with a classic look suggests the look of a whopper -- with the restaurant name between two buns.

It is also designed in colors inspired by the original BK look -- including yellow, brown, red, and orange with a new "Flame" font.

So far, the rebrand has gotten positive attention from industry experts and consumers alike who appreciate the simple, pleasing look.

The chain is slowly rolling out other aspects of the design including employee uniforms, logos and signage that emphasize the flame-grilled whopper.

On why the new classic logo works, two designers, Debbie Millman from the School of Visual Arts, and Steven Heller, a popular culture book author commented:

1.  The new branding has a "warm, retro vibe," and is reminiscent of the brand's roots.

2.  The new design nods back to the original concept.

3.  The new logo is "suggestive of real meat," and "much more tasty.”

4.  People prefer more straightforward honest identities now

IN SUMMARY:

A good logo is a refined logo. Refinement is everything. If the concept isn't rendered well, if nuances aren't there, it won't work.

10 Branding Tips For A Better Company Image

 (INTRO)

When it comes to branding, most people think about logos and colors. But branding is about more than just recognizability.

It's about the impact that you have on a customer and how it sends a message.

(TIPS)

1.   Clearly Identify Yourself.

2.   Make It Easy For People to Understand.

3.   Let Your Brand Tell a Story.

4.   Consider What Your Customer Will Think.

5.   Ask Why You are Doing This.

6.   Create a Liquid Experience.

7.   Be Creative and Approachable.

8.   Design for The Long-Term.

9.   Try The ROI Principle

10. Think About Extensibility

(CONTENT)

1. Clearly Identify Yourself

Your company name, logo and slogan should provide insights into what you do and the products or services that you offer. If you miss this opportunity, you will spend valuable time and energy on explaining the basics.

2. Make It Easy For People to Understand

Make it easy for people to understand what you do, and find a campaign to publicise the brand. Sufficient publicity can do a huge amount to define your brand.

3. Let Your Brand Tell a Story

Let your name, slogan and logo tell a story. Having a clear message behind your business will allow the consumer to grasp the pillars that your company embodies.

4. Consider What Your Customer Will Think

Define your customer and then create your brand to attract them. Are you Toyota or Lexus? Payless or Tom Ford? Walmart or Target?

5. Ask Why You Are Doing This

Ask yourself: What difference will it make in the lives of the consumer who buys your products and services? Start by building a foundation of who and why you are selling what you sell, and work up from there.

6. Create a Liquid Experience

A liquid experience is a cohesive branding strategy that takes into consideration the user and audience in an intimate way. The first impression can say a lot about a company, its values and what it does. Keep this in mind, when communicating with your audience.

7. Be Creative and Approachable

The best company branding is a combination of creativity and approachability. Adopt a creative spin without deviating from what your prospective consumers expect from your product or service.

8. Design for The Long-Term

Being trendy is fine, but consider how your brand will hold up over time. How will you bring the message to life in a way that won’t look dated in five to 10 years.

9. Try The ROI Principle

Follow the ROI principle: Relevant, Original and Impactful. Make sure that your clients are aligned with these ROI standards and encourage them to test it out.

10. Think About Extensibility

Your branding assets are often consumers’ first impression of your company. So it is important to create something unique to your business that represents the integrity of your company, and make sure it’s extensible to weather the changes over the years.

The Top 10 Most Expensive Cars In The World

The Top 10 Most Expensive Cars In The World

x

The most expensive cars in the world are more than just transportation. These rolling art pieces encapsulate the lifestyle of rich and famous  in a universe where flamboyance take precedence over practicality and efficiency. Let’s make a countdown.

10.  Zenvo ST1 ($1.2M)

Kicking off the list is the ST1. Assembled in Denmark, the Zenvo creates a huge amount of power by combining a 6.8-liter V8 with both a supercharger and a turbocharger. Just how powerful is that  exactly? How about 1,104 horsepower and 1,054 pound-feet of torque, all channelled to the car’s rear wheels.

9. Ferrari LaFerrari ($1.4M)

Few cars on the road are more striking and accelerates faster than LaFerrari. With a dry weight of less than 2,800 pounds, this dragon-like performance car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3.0 seconds, and zoom up to 124 mph in under 7 seconds, with a top speed of  217 mph.

8. Pagani Huayra ($1.4M)

The Huayra is equally as famous for its odd-sounding name as the need for speed.

Named after the Incan God of Winds, the Huayra (pronounced why-rah) boasts an AMG- 6.0-liter V12 with two turbochargers, resulting in 620hp and a massive 740 lb-ft.

7. Aston Martin One-77 ($1.4M)

Under the vented hood lurks an aspirated V12 that displaces 7.3 liters – which produces 750 hp and 553 lb-ft. Those numbers make the One-77 the fastest Aston Martin ever made, as the spy chaser will top 220 mph given the right conditions. From a stop, it’ll do 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

6. Koenigsegg One:1 ($2.0M)

You can buy a lot with $2 million — a really nice house, about 80 Mazda MX-5’s, or the Swedish “megacar” above. A logical thinker could probably think of better ways to spend his money, but megacars don’t give a damn about logic. And after reading what the car is capable of, $2 million might actually be a steal.

5. Ferrari F60 America ($2.5M)

This supercar is mechanically identical to the F12, but the Berlinetta’s 6.2-liter V12 churns out 740 glorious hp, enough to propel the car to 60 mph in only 3.1 seconds. This ultra-rare flag-waver hearkens back to Ferrari’s bespoke past, as the company built several region-specific sports cars in the 1950s and 1960s.

4. Mansory Vivere Bugatti Veyron ($3.4M)

This list wouldn’t be complete without a version of the mighty Bugatti Veyron. And we are shining our spotlight on the Mansory Vivere edition here, not because it is one of the fastest cars in the world, but it is also one of the most expensive.

3. W Motors Lykan Hypersport ($3.4M)

You may recall the Lykan Hypersport from its starring role in the blockbuster Furious 7, where the Lebanese supercar crashed through three skyscrapers in Dubai. In a franchise movie filled with high-end exotics and custom-made cars, the fact that the Hypersport got so

much focus is a testament to its magnetism.

2. Lamborghini Veneno ($4.5M)

The car is absolutely stunning from every angle, and that makes it seems unreal. The only thing more remarkable than the looks is its price — at a whopping $4.5 million.

1. Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita ($4.8M)

Underneath the lustrous finish of this supercar lies a 4.8-liter, dual-supercharged V8 with a total output of 1,004 hp and 797 lb-ft, which means it has no trouble overtaking any vehicles on the freeway. The car’s specifications — in both performance and price — are rather unusual at this point, and it’s a fact as just three were ever made.

“Be a Global Brand.” – DrKKJohan

Q&A Why is Branding So Important?

Q&A Why is Branding So Important?

If you have heard people ask that question before, here is the answer:

“Branding is important because it helps you stand out from the competition and establish ways in which you’re different, special, and unique. It shows your customers why they should work with you instead of your competitors.

It doesn’t matter what kind of company you have, or what industry you’re in, or what type of customer you are after—if you are in business, you have to be serious about Branding.

Here are four reasons:

(Title)

1. Builds brand recognition -- If you want to build a successful brand, you need to be recognizable.

(Caption)

The right branding (including designing an impactful logo, website, and other brand assets) helps you carve out a distinct style, and it increases your brand recognition in the market.

(Title)

2. Creates consistent brand experience -- Branding allows you to control how people perceive and experience your brand.

(Caption)

For your business to succeed, you need to provide a consistent experience for your customers by ensuring that perception and experience stay consistent across all your brand touchstones --  whether it is through your website, at an in-person event, or by following your social media accounts.

(Title)

3. Sparks a connection with your audience -- and turns them into your loyal customers.

(Caption)

The most successful businesses are the ones that foster an emotional connection with their audience. That emotional connection is what transforms a prospect into a customer, and the customer into a brand enthusiast. And how do you create and build that connection? Branding.

(Title)

4. Strengthens your Brand Voice -- Different branding strategies like packaging and color psychology also adds an emotional punch to your brand voice.

10 TIPS FOR BUILDING A GREAT BRAND YOUR CUSTOMER WILL LOVE

10 TIPS FOR BUILDING A GREAT BRAND YOUR CUSTOMER WILL LOVE

Building a great brand is absolutely necessary if you want your business to stand out. It is the best way to make a connection with your audience, to build a relationship, to earn their trust and ultimately turn them into paying customers.  Here are 10 things you NEED to know if you’re building your brand.

(*Note: Use the bold text as the headline for your graphics, as the rest as caption)

Tip #1: Your brand is the personality, the heart, and the soul of what the company is.

Often people associate brands with colors, fonts, or a distinct look and that definitely forms part of it. But a strong brand is created by what the business stands for, the mission and the vision of the founder, and the values the company lives by.

Tip #2: Position your Brand values clearly for customers to identify with them.

It’s about highlighting those shared beliefs between the company and the customer, which will make people want to stand with that brand (or not!).

Tip #3: Know the values you want to infuse into the essence of your business.

When you show up for your audience, how do you want to show up? Who do you want to be for them?  For example, I’ve always positioned it as advice from a best friend, rather than an expert, and that then informs the brand voice.

Tip #4: Your brand voice creates emotion and helps customers identify with your brand.  The right tone of voice will build relationships and give your audience a clear idea of how the brand makes them feel.

Tip #5: Know who your audience is and build a brand to make them trust you.

A lot of entrepreneurs misjudge the situation and build the business from their perspective, but your business is not about you, it’s about your audience. You have to build the brand that will blow them away, that’s going to make them trust you and help them get to know you. Build  the brand for them, and think about what you’re going to do that will resonate with them

Tip #6: Create an avatar that represents your ideal customer.

Get into the mind of that person and understand who they are, how they live, what they are like. Discover who he or she is and how you can connect with that person. Get clear on their fears, doubts, worries, beliefs and dreams, the problems and the challenges they face.

Tip #7: Be clear on how you can serve your customer better

Get clear on who that person is in relation to who the company is and how you can help them achieve something, or overcome a challenge.

Tip #8: There are no unique messages only unique messengers.

We are unique messengers so we have to show up and stand for something specific and distinct.

Tip #9: Get involved in the design process as this is YOUR vision coming to life.

When it comes to physically creating the look and feel of your business, as the founder, you must get involved in the design process as you’re the one that determines the feel of the company.

Tip #10: Make sure that your design style is consistent across all platforms

Put together a brand mood board so that people can recognize your brand at first glance in line with your brand values.

Coca-Cola: Confessions by McCann World Group Shanghai

For many, Chinese New Year 2021 will be very different from any other that has come before. But will brands be taking a different turn too?

This time last year, Coronavirus had already begun to affect the way people in China had to behave – and it was starting to show signs that it was going to be a global problem that stretched beyond Asia.

In spite of this, 2021 will be the first year that Chinese New Year looks very different for the many Asian families who celebrate.

Coca-Cola has launched its Chinese New Year campaign, ‘CNY Confessions’, based on some real-life stories exploring the meaning of Chinese New Year, in a world that changed with the pandemic.

The campaign, conceptualized by Mccann Worldgroup Shanghai, is a pastiche of three independent stories of three young citizens living in China.

STORY 1: Meiling is a young teenage girl who lives in a bustling home filled with family and visiting relatives and craves for privacy.

STORY 2:Xiaoming Wang is another young boy who is always being asked to run around to run errands and get stuff for the family – he is not happy since he prefers to play video games.

STORY 3: Little Piggy is a young boy who lives in the city and dreads the bumpy bus ride that he must take to meet his grandmother who lives in a distant village. He is all she has and she yearns for his visits.

In conclusion, storytelling is still high on the agenda for many brands. And in lieu of the tried and tested themes, the campaigns have turned out more creative than ever, and the result is something different than sthe more traditional advertising tropes.

AS THE Tsunami of the Covid-19 pandemic sweeps across the world,
nothing is spared -- from businesses to jobs, and health.

There is great despair and devastation in the shadows of its wings.
Everybody is hard hit, but some people are harder hit than others.

Some businesses cling on for survival, while others run for shelter.
With untold fear, anxiety, and depression we pray for things to get better.

But as Brand Champions, we have no choice but to persevere and to press on

(Full speech transcript)
Hello,
I am DrKKJohan from The BrandLaureate
Today, I am going to talk about COURAGE.
The question is, do you have it?
If only you have the COURAGE,
Then no mountain is too high to climb,
Then no valley is too low to reach,
Then no river is too wide to cross,
To sky jump from the tallest building or to dive deep into the deepest ocean
may scare the daylights out of you.
But not for those who are COURAGEOUS enough to attempt it,
COURAGE is about strength, perseverance, and persistence,
To pursue on,  to reach for the sky, and what you dream of
COURAGE is not the absence of fear,
COURAGE is not the absence of threat,
COURAGE is not the absence of discouragement,
Keep encouraging yourself to be COURAGEOUS to conquer
and overcome everything in life.
With COURAGE, you can do anything you want,
With COURAGE you can have everything you want,
With COURAGE you can be anyone you want,
Know what you can do, what you want to do,
And have the COURAGE to do it, and to be it.
Have the COURAGE to take the pain, to face the agony,
And handle the pressure, and still be able
To dance in the rain,
Do not be afraid if you have failed,
Have the COURAGE to try again,
If you have fallen, have the COURAGE to rise up,
If you have faltered, have discouraged to continue,
Winston Churchill said Success is not final, Failure is not fatal.
It is the COURAGE to continue that counts,
COURAGE to see beyond, beyond yourself,
Beyond your own weaknesses, limitations, and failures,
COURAGE to see the potentiality and the possibility in life,
And to be able to live Life to the fullest,
Every dark cloud has a silver lining,
Never been discouraged, better days are coming.
Be COURAGEOUS in life, it is never too late,
A whole new world awaits the COURAGEOUS,
The future is their World, and the World, their future.
Just be COURAGEOUS to go on.
Stay Strong, and Stay Safe.
