DRONE-based deliveries will soon become a big thing in Malaysia.

AirAsia has announced they are partnering with the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC) to launch a pilot project for the delivery of goods from AirAsia’s e-commerce platforms.

The pilot project is set to be carried out through a 6-month phased approach at the third National Technology and Innovation Sandbox (NTIS) test site in Cyberjaya.

They are currently testing out the service with two local drone operators—VStream Revolution and Meraque Services.

AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandez said: “We are excited to be partnering with MaGIC to explore urban drone deliver—an innovative logistic solution that will ultimately improve efficiency and operational excellence as well as accelerate the pace of delivery in urban areas,

"Besides, drone delivery enables us to keep up with the ever-growing demand for e-commerce,” he added.

The first phase of the project is to assess the drone operators’ capabilities, experience, process, deployment readiness, and service expansion.

Once the trial phase is successful, the project will move “beyond the sandbox environment”.

5 Ways To Keep Your Brand Consistent

When it comes to branding, consistency is key. If you aren’t keeping your brand consistent, consumers can easily get confused. And confusion often leads to disinterest.

A strong, consistent brand is the result of top-tier marketing meeting psychology head-on. Keeping your brand consistent is the only way for it to take off and the only way you can ensure the brand will stand the test of time.

If you’re looking to grow your brand, consistency is the way to do it. Here are five tips for a consistent brand that stands the test of time.

1. Know your message -- A brand is essentially the personality of an organization, and personality starts with the message you are trying to convey with your appearance and actions.

2. Know your audience --  Establish who your target audience is. Having an effective brand doesn’t mean you target everyone — it means you remain consistent for the specific demographic you are targeting.

3. Align your actions with your brand -- Stick to your motto or slogan. Every action, every message, and every post on social media should be done with your brand in mind otherwise, consumers will take note.

4. Interaction is key -- People won’t always stumble upon your company; sometimes you have to go out of your way to get them. Make your presence known within your industry and within your community.

5. Make adjustments -- If you notice something doesn't feel aligned with your brand, fix it. Meet regularly with your team to go over what you are working on,  and address any ideas or concerns.

With these five tips, even a marketing novice can create a long-lasting brand for their company.

BURGER KING LOOKS DELICIOUS AGAIN. HERE’S WHY?

Burger King introduced its first rebrand in 20 years in January 2021 with a new Burger King logo.

The new logo with a classic look suggests the look of a whopper -- with the restaurant name between two buns.

It is also designed in colors inspired by the original BK look -- including yellow, brown, red, and orange with a new "Flame" font.

So far, the rebrand has gotten positive attention from industry experts and consumers alike who appreciate the simple, pleasing look.

The chain is slowly rolling out other aspects of the design including employee uniforms, logos and signage that emphasize the flame-grilled whopper.

On why the new classic logo works, two designers, Debbie Millman from the School of Visual Arts, and Steven Heller, a popular culture book author commented:

1.  The new branding has a "warm, retro vibe," and is reminiscent of the brand's roots.

2.  The new design nods back to the original concept.

3.  The new logo is "suggestive of real meat," and "much more tasty.”

4.  People prefer more straightforward honest identities now

IN SUMMARY:

A good logo is a refined logo. Refinement is everything. If the concept isn't rendered well, if nuances aren't there, it won't work.
