THE BrandLaureate express our deepest condolences to the British
Royal Family on the death of Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II's husband, who
died at age 99, at Windsor Castle on Friday.
A statement from Buckingham Palace said: "It is with
deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved
husband. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his
loss."
Speaking at Downing Street, prime minister Boris Johnson said
the Duke had "inspired the lives of countless young people, earned the affection of generations in the United Kingdom, across the Commonwealth and
around the world.”
Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury said the late-Prince
Philip "consistently put the interests of others ahead of his own and, in
so doing, provided an outstanding example of Christian service."
In tribute, Westminster Abbey began tolling its tenor bell
once every 60 seconds at 18:00 BST. It rang out 99 times to honour each year of
his life.
